Yes, in most cases. Any project involving plumbing, electrical, gas, or structural changes requires a permit from LADBS (Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety). Cosmetic-only remodels (paint, hardware, countertop swap with the same sink location) may not. We handle all permit applications and inspections as part of our service.
Most clients stay in their home. We set up a temporary kitchen area in advance (often in the dining room or garage) with microwave, toaster oven, and a dish station. The active construction zone is sealed off with plastic and we protect adjacent rooms. Expect 1–2 weeks without full kitchen use.
